Jakub is a senior energy executive and platform builder with over 23 years of experience creating, scaling, and monetizing energy businesses across public and private markets.

He was a founding executive of Kiwetinohk Energy Corp., serving as Chief Financial Officer and strategic partner to the CEO, helping build the company from inception to approximately $500MM in annual revenue and a $1.4B enterprise value exit. In this role, he co-led corporate strategy, capital formation, and governance, contributing to a fourfold increase in production and a fivefold increase in cash flow while maintaining strong balance sheet discipline and delivering top-quartile returns. He is recognized for aligning strategy, culture, and performance systems to drive accountability, scale operations, and create durable shareholder value.

Jakub played a central role in executing Kiwetinohk’s growth strategy, including approximately $500MM of acquisitions during the COVID-19 market dislocation, the recovery of approximately $150MM of impaired capital, and the deployment of approximately $1.2B of development capital across the Duvernay and Montney resource plays. He led the acquisition and restructuring of Delphi Energy through CCAA, integrating the business through to full merger completion. He subsequently led the company’s TSX listing in 2022, built its institutional investor platform, and helped drive a strategic alternatives process culminating in the company’s sale.

Earlier in his career, Jakub spent nearly two decades in energy advisory in North America and Europe, advising on more than 50 transactions with an aggregate value of approximately $46B, and developing deep expertise in capital markets, M&A, and complex negotiations.

Jakub holds a Bachelor of Commerce (with Distinction) from the University of Calgary and completed the Senior Executive Programme at London Business School.
