Navigating the complex decision-making process for multi-million-dollar reservoir development projects presents significant challenges. Failure to meet initial oil or gas production projections or encountering premature water breakthroughs can lead to substantial financial implications for energy companies. This tech talk introduces Unified Ensemble Modeling, a groundbreaking approach that places uncertainty management at the core of reservoir modeling and emphasizes risk awareness in decision-making.
Our methodology leverages data across all scales to construct geological scenarios and comprehensively evaluate subsurface uncertainties. Through the creation of an ensemble of models that integrate static and dynamic data concurrently, while at the same time accounting for geological and engineering uncertainties, our approach provides a robust analytical solution.
This ensemble analytics tool offers swift insights into potential reservoir targets and facilitates the generation, comparison, and optimization of development scenarios to achieve these targets.
Coupling ensemble analytic tools with a comprehensive subsurface interpretation solution enables integration of high-density geologic data with regional understanding of reservoir structures provides geologic plausibility to interpretations and accurate real-time insights. The result being optimized well placement and more-informed well execution.
Unified Ensemble Modeling contributes to the enhancement of asset value by delivering dependable probabilistic production forecasts, effective well placement, and thereby mitigating development risks.
